Amazon: What people are buying kids now

Here's a list of the top 10 things people are buying their kids this September:

1. Playfoam

Playfoam

This pack of Playfoam will keep your kids busy for hours, and will save you time from scrubbing Play-Doh out of the carpet / your toddler's hair / off the walls.. $8.77

Review: There are a lot of similar items out there like this, but this one is not gooey like the others. It is really easy to play with and doesn't mess everywhere. It sticks together pretty well.." -YS

2. Fine-point colored pens

We have to admit these pens might be less of a gift for the kids, and more of a gift for the artistic parents. $14.35

Review: "These pens just changed my life. Why had I not heard about these until now? They are THE MOST amazing pens. My usual love = PaperMate Flairs, but these are even better! So many awesome colors. Super fine, strong tip. Can letter, draw, or color with these bad boys. Super smooth. Awesomely saturated colors that don't bleed!" -Lindsey

3. Yeti in My Spaghetti

Yeti in my spagetti

Kids are still going crazy over Yeti in My Spaghetti. It's sort of like Ker Plunk, or maybe you remember the oldie-but-goodie, Don't Break the Ice. If you still don't have this one on your shelves, trust us, buy it. $9.19

Review: "Bought this for our 4-year-old son, but we all love it! I didn't think it would be very hard or interesting for adults, but it's very entertaining! The curves in the noodles make it unpredictable (because they move the other noodles around), which helps adults be more engaged. It was so fun playing together that our in-laws bought a set for their house as well!" -JTanner

4. Peel & Stick Puzzle Saver

Peel & Stick Puzzle Saver

If only this existed when we were kids! By and large this one is for the whole family. $7.84

Review: "This stuff is great! And it's EASY! When I decided I wanted to decorate my room with puzzles, I looked into puzzle glue. But to be honest, it seemed so messy and kind of complicated, so I thought I'd give this a shot. Now I've got two 1000-piece puzzles on my wall! It even comes with plastic tabs to use for hanging your puzzle: so far, they've held up great. I've had one of the puzzles on my wall for about two months now, and it hasn't fallen off or come apart yet." -Melody

5. Disney Moana Puzzle

And of course, you'll need a puzzle for that Puzzle Saver you just bought. This one tops not just the Best Seller list, but the Most Wished For as well. $13.99

Review: Amazing quality. The pieces are thick, the image on each piece is clear and the colors are vibrant. There's so much detail in the puzzle, especially Maui's fish hook. The quality is even better than the other Ravensburger puzzles we have with smaller piece counts. The only negative is that it is a large puzzle. I wish they made it in non-XXL size, but I knew about the size before I bought it, so it does not lose any stars for that. -Carbsaregood

6. "Cooking Class" Book

Cooking Class Book

If we want to live like the French, we must involve our kids in cooking now. Children who learn early become more mindful, healthy adults. Fact. $13.92

Review: "My 6-year-old daughter is really enjoying this cookbook. She has already made several of the recipes. The pictures are beautiful, the directions are clear, and the cooking class portion in the beginning is awesome! A lot of the recipes are flexible, which lets her use her imagination to come up with her own versions. We love it." -John Griffith

7. Lego Advent Calendar

Lego Advent Calendar

Christmas isn't here yet, but is it any surprise that these Lego Advent Calendars are flying off the shelves already? We think not. $29.99

8. Doorway Puppet Theater

Puppet theaters, hand puppets, and finger puppets continue to top the buying list this year! We love this doorway puppet "theater" by IQ kids. It's as easy as popping in a tension rod in any door frame, and quite striking when hung! $19.99

Review: I wanted a puppet theater for our grandkids. We had made one using a cardboard box, but didn't have a place to store it. This is ideal. It's the perfect height. I expected to need to replace the tension rod, but the rod that came with it is the right size for narrow doorways. Our pantry and coat closet made perfect puppet theaters. My grandkids are loving it. -mary35546

Little Tikes Spiralin' Seas Waterpark Play Table

Fall may be here, but these are still selling like hot cakes! And for under $30, it's a steal. $28.29

Review: We sent this to our 2 year old granddaughter for her birthday. It was a huge hit. She plays with it all the time. I could not believe the quality for the price. I would definitely recommend this for any child- especially one who enjoys playing in the water. I think she will find it an interesting toy for several years. Also a good toy to interact and play with her. Can't say enough good things about it. -B.L.S.

10. The Barbie Pink Convertible

Barbie Glam Pink Convertible Doll Vehicle

Barbie's Pink Convertible has seen a few upgrades over the years. Though we're always one for nostalgia, we have to admit this one is more chic. $14.88

Buy some Barbies for that convertible here.

Review: I bought this Glam Car to go with the Barbie Girls Doll with Walk and Potty Pup(!) for a 3-year old's birthday gift. Her Mom said she and her brother fought over the other Barbie car, so it would be a great choice. And she loved it! I was actually really impressed with the quality and size of the car: it's really well made, nice detailing, great color, and it's large enough for a child to put the Barbie in easily. And the dog fit, too! -Pier
